Hummingbirds 9/25

It is officially fall!  As the weather is getting cooler, it would be helpful to have an extra change of clothes suitable for the cooler times.🙂 Your children have been busy this week strengthening connections with each other, getting more comfortable with teachers, and practicing daily routines. It takes a lot of energy to emotionally and physically self-regulate and manage the cognitive load of moving through a whole school day. You have probably noticed how extra tired your children are at the end of the day. This exhaustion is normal, and it is also indicative of the ways in which your children are being stretched and challenged to grow in important ways.

This week we asked the children what they want to learn about in school this year. Check out the list!

Our wonderful Student Teacher, Brenna, talked about the turning of the season and read the book Leaf Man. Then we made autumn wreaths with the children.

We had our first meeting for worship this week in the music room with the kindergarten and the Catbirds!
